In 2020 when the world as we knew it came to a screeching halt, many couples were had to make big decisions about how they wanted celebrate their love. Among these stories is the heartwarming journey of Hannah & Max. In July 2020, as the pandemic continued to force social distancing, Max & Hannah decided to postpone their much awaiting large wedding celebration and settle for a small, intimate, masked ceremony. Almost three years later, just a few weeks shy of their anniversary, their friends & family traversed across the globe for a remarkable celebration of love.

Hannah & Max chose The Astorian for their blowout bash! And it may have become one of my favorite venues! I love the mix of industrial and modern touches. Nestled in the shadow of Downtown, The Astorian offers amazing views of the distinctive Houston skyline.

Getting Ready Together

One advantage to being married three years before your actual wedding day is that you can toss out many traditional wedding day traditions like not seeing one another prior to ceremony. I really adored the intimacy of them finalizing their pre-wedding preparations together.

The Vow Renewal

For the ceremony, Max escorted his wife down the aisle and the two of them reaffirmed their original marriage vows and amended them with what that they’d learned over the past few years.

Wedding Party Portraits

I absolutely adore Max & Hannah’s group of friends. They are so supportive and fun to hang around. And if you’ve stalked the blog before you may recognize a few familiar faces, including groom Max from Ken & Winnie’s Wedding last year at Boxwood Manor.

Cocktail & Coffee Hour

I love how H & M incorporated two of their favorite things into their wedding day; Coffee & their Pup Pizza! To accompany their traditional cocktail hour, Fellowship Coffee was on hand to provide the fuel for guests to dance the night away!

An Energetic Wedding Reception

When you’ve waited almost three years to celebrate your marriage you know the party is going to be FUN! I loved that they incorporated Israeli Drummers to honor Hannah’s heritage. They added such an authentic and lively flavor to the spirited reception.

Hannah and Max are probably the best dancer’s I’ve ever had has a couple, so it’s only fitting that Hannah had a dress change shortly after introductions so that she could move more freely!
